WWE is a lot more strict and always was. I don't recall people ever throwing trash in the ring like they did in WCW. That shyt would get your ass thrown out of the arena and banned. Security on that ass quick fast.
Plus we're in the PG Era. Most people are'nt about that life and the ones that are are like the majortiy of TSC, cynical smarks. We'd much rather just boo the fukk out of your shyt product and not pay for it when the time comes.

Those fans weren't disgruntled.They were just having the time of their life out there.Like someone else said wrestling actually had a male demongraphic back then.
WCW had all them wonky finishes, every week was a DQ and a brawl so it kinda conditioned the drunks to start throwing shyt. I had to bob and weave to the exit at a couple of Nitros when garbage started flying. It's hilarious to look at it on tv, not so much when you're dodging
