how come erick sermon's production isn't compared to dr. dre's?

e double put in a lot of work like dre did
those 1st 4 epmd albums alone (i can't help but think dre was takin' notes then because of the funky beats and choice of funk samples)
redman and keith murray's albums
and then his own solo albums, compilation album, def squad album and all those remixes he did in the 90's
erick sermon was a muthafukka on those boards just as much as dre was never gets compared to his caliber
i wonder why though :patrice:

shyt, i just thought about it too. he had a better album than dre did last year too, with that e.s.p. album :mjpls:

EPMD & the Hit Squad etc all fell apart JUST as it was about to become the first Wu Tang. they should have had the game sewed up between EPMD, Redman, Das Efx, could've had a Chronic type album produced by Sermon with the whole Hit Squad on there.

i'd say their version of the chronic was erick sermon's insomnia compilation album
this shyt is so damn slept on it ain't even funny
whole damn album flows perfectly from the songs to the skits. i love the album played as if you was listenin' to the radio with the "radio personalities" talkin' n shyt
production was top notch

Shame, he'll be remembered more for React! and NBA Street Vol2 than for being a true pioneer and one of our goat producers

well, hip hop heads from back in the day will always remember epmd
but erick sermon put in so much work in the 90's too but somewhere down the line people forgot about his work post post epmd
his remixes in the 90's are among my favorite. he produced for a slew of muthafukkas too; from hip hop to r&b
his episode on rhythm roulette is still my favorite too
