How come Gohan & Goku came out stronger than Vegeta & Trunks after the HTC?

always as a kid.

Both Gohan & Goku were weaker than Vegeta & Trunks before they went into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. But came out almost twice as strong and they didn't even train for the full year.

It wasn't a 1000 power level difference .. Gohan & Goku would have wiped the floor again Trunks & Vegeta and it wouldn't have been even close of a battle.

They were doing like advanced gravity training breh. Two super saiyans training in there, training as super saiyans. Remember, Goku had them training in SSJ1 state. They were living and doin shyt in that state like it was normal. THEN they turned it up a notch. They were on another level breh

Basically goku was far more smarter than vegeta and had the better plan

Vegeta refused to train with Trunks because "he trains alone"... In DBZ the more a saiyan gets beat up the stronger he becomes..

If Vegeta and Trunks fought each other in the time chamber they could have been of a lot stronger when they got out

add to that goku knew the importance of resting between training to allow the muscles to repair. While vegeeta never took a break.

Thing is I always wanted to know how strong goku would have got if he trained himself as well as gohan.

As I remember he went in there with the soul purpose of handing the torch over to gohan after seeing that brief glimpse of ssj2

Gohan wasn't stronger than Vegeta or Trunks when he came out the chamber. But he wasn't too far off from their level. and goku was stronger than those two but again difference was minor.

None of the four were beating Cell until gohan jumped to ssj2

they were training full time

After they came out the room, they found out cell was holding his tournament in 10 days

So they did 3 days rest, 3 days training, 3 days rest while leading up to it.

Goku and Gohan was just smarter and managed their energy better. They used the energy that they would normally burn by transforming into SSJ to only give themselves more power which is why they remained in SSJ form outside of the HTC. Goku also recognized that the Ultra SSJ form was useless in a fight with Cell because you're sacrificing all agility for strength, something Trunks and Vegeta never considered.
