How come I can't copy and paste

I'm usually using my iPad when on this site
But it's a headache to contribute here

I can't copy a link from YouTube and paste it here
I click paste and nothing happens

Also if I made a typo a few words back I can't go back to it
I have to delete everything up until that point and then fix it and rewrite everything

what happens if you hit the Use BB Code Editor icon. Its the far right icon on the editor. Does it let you edit and do whatever?

I clicked it and the lil box turned yellowish and it let me copy n paste
