How come nobody cares about records in the NFL?

Yet, that's all people care about in baseball.

Drew Brees 5,467 passing yards in a season is just an example, Just seems like that's forgotton. Does the advances in game rules helping offences have anything to do with this?

More concentraded in team records.


And the more players on a team in a sport, the less valuable individual stats become, generally

plus the game changed so much over the years all these numbers are so inflated these days

I think this is more of it than anything.

Marino's season passing yards and passing TDs were absolutely a big deal. But since the game has changed and passing is so much easier, those new records are put into a different perspective.

Hell, the passing yardage record was broken by two (nearly three!) people that year :beli:
