How come only one member of a tag team gets pushed?

Not in all cases of course, it's rare to see both dudes get put on equally after a break up. Some cases of obvious(hart foundation, bret is the best there is), but some not so much so. One ex. is the steiner's. Scott is dope, but Rick could have been great too given the equal opportunity, no? . He could have been dope as fukk if he was pushed.

Makes me think...what if Warrior and Sting and Hennig and Hall were both tag teams in wwf/nwa/wcw before they split?...it's likely two of these guys would be small footnotes in history rather the legends that they became.

Rick case was simple, the dude wasn't so much in it for the fame. I recall article saying he doesn't care if he was on TV. WWE forgets the power of tag teams, like Animal & Hawk, no one gives a shyt about Animal running solo. Some Tag Teams are just like better off as a tag team because of the natural order. In a perfect world, the Tag Team straps would be as equal with the Heavyweight title.

Fine. It also comes down to who management may like more, personal attitude, fan reaction, and just plain old luck.

to bring it back to my second point...If you have Warrior and Sting, and Hennig and Hall in your Fed, and you are about to split them up, who do you push more first in each case?

obviously this is revisionist and your outcome is going to be based on what you seen them do solo. Most of us probably weren't watching their tag team runs as they happened

It's all booking. Some guys end up better on the mic but in truth..that can be covered up managers so that's not even a valid excuse. Company choosing really. As with most things.

It's up to Jannetty. You see the truth about wrestling, and this might be a rehash, you have to be a a$$hole. Promotions are like a broadway play, not everyone can be the lead actor. Wrestling is the same philosophy, except its a faster revolving door. Jannetty superkicks HBK, and goes solo, ok. Shawn was able to control his drug habit to function right, Jannett not so much.

In addition, you have to up to Booking and demand your character goes a certain route. If by some reason they want you to wear a storm trooper helmet with a golden bra, do you accept it or say no. Creative can create storylines to a extent, but the character itself cannot be Creative made; it must be you, a extension of it.

Jannetty never seemed to be one with a backbone to get what he wanted. HBK stepped on a lot of toes to get where he is, but he is respected by the Universe.
