How come PlayStation keeps outselling Xbox even though it hasn’t got Gamepass?

We keep hearing about how Gamepass is a steal and the best value in gaming etc etc. Well if that’s the case why does the PlayStation which not only doesn’t have a Gamepass but sells it’s games at $70 outselling the Xbox with its “insane” value?
