He had the handles of someone with cerebral palsy, so he couldn't create his own offense. He largely relied on screens, and drawn plays to score. Plus he was a below average athlete at best

From '87-'93 the Pacers played at an equal to faster pace than what we have today on average in the league and this past season the league had an uptick in pace.
In '96 and '97, the three point line was shorter than it was today too.
Reggie just wasn't that great, he was an average athlete and didn't have great handles, dude was overrated.
Ray Allen was basically Reggie with handles and athleticism. Reggie was basically Rip Hamilton with three point range.

Because he's damn overrated. Couldn't even create his own shot on a consistent basis, running around screens all day. Very clutch, but very overrated.
