Because light skin people are generally not insecure about having light skin. Whenever a dark skin model is given props it’s almost always with an unspoken subtext of “aww see dark is beautiful too” whereas light skin you almost have to downplay as if to say “her skin adds nothing, she’d be beautiful dark too”.
When you've been told you aren't beautiful for 400 years this is gonna happen. What is the other solution?

It's two things.

1. The assumption that all darkskin people think lightskin is better.

2. dikk policing.

You only ever see dark skin men get the self-hate label for dating lighter people and it's because of c00n rappers saying stupid shyt in their lyrics.

In reality, you don't see light skin women with dark skin men like that. It's usually the other way around.

Also in reality, nobody actually gives a shyt. People mostly talk about it online.

You can't read breh? Where did I imply there aren't black and white Latinos, dikkhead?

I'm clearly referring to a situation where a white or MIXED Latino gets told "you're black too". I've seen that happen many times.

Your post is vague and it's the only way it can be interpreted because you weren't specific, fukking peabrain fakkit

A friend of mine he's half Puerto Rican with a black American father and married to Puerto Rican man I remember telling her daughter she was black one day and she looked at me like:rudy:. I just talked about my brother's wife in a recently bushed post and she is the same way about their children.

That black Latino thing this is not real. Very few identify with anything black and what nothing to do with Africa or black Americans. It's a waste of time to keep talking about it

I think the only film I've ever seen address this was School Daze. I was watching it last night on Netflix and Kyme's character was worried Dap was with her because she was one of the darker females on campus and it helped fit into his super woke persona and image.

It's already been answered that dark skin folks at large aren't put on a pedestal though.....so there's your answer. It's a response to perception more than anything. Perception unfortunately feeds into psychology and so on and so forth.
