i know dre leaving death row is the reason doggfatha was not a classic but in the years after how come they NEVER did a 2nd solo joint for Snoop with all Dre beats?? obviously money wasnt the issue

:patrice:dre doesn't have the best track record when it comes to this type of stuff. Probably too hard to work together these days given his perfectionist reputation and snoop just throwing shyt out there not giving a fukk

"2nd album" as in what exactly? If you mean the Chronic where Snoop was in almost every song. I dunno. But "Tha Last Meal", Dr. Dre either produced or mixed with added production virtually the entire album which was the sequel to "Doggystyle" if that matters any.

they had both moved on by the time it was a viable choice. obviously nothing was happening while Snoop was still on Death Row & Snoop had to get situated. i don't think Master P was going to let Snoop have a whole Dre produced album on No Limit, and by then Em was more of a focus for Dre. Tha Last meal is probably the closest we'll get because even though Dre didn't do all the beats the overall sound & direction of the album follows 2001 fairly closely i think, a bunch of west coast producers, Scott Storch, Mel Man but Snoop had also started reaching out for cats like Timbo and then the next step was Pharell. since 2001 Dre hasn't done a full album for anyone has he? besides Relapse?

didn't need too. once they did chronic 2001, their chemistry as a the ultimate rapper and producer was cemented. what else was there to prove?

plus, i doubt snoop was as patient as he was durin' those doggystyle years because by the time they did link back up, snoop was tryin' to keep his brand afloat. so he was probably more concerned with consistently puttin' music out than waitin' around for dr. dre for quite some time to produce a whole album for him, which is why he'll usually just get a few songs here and there produced by him. then too, eminem had become dr. dre's focus and he was takin' the time to help mold him and build his label aftermath
