obviously when most people think of a Hip Hop producer, we think of someone on the MP or some other drum machine or computer actually making the beat themselves.

i think ultimately it just comes down to numbers. think of how many female MCs there have been in the history of rap? and MCing is the most popular of the original elements by far

there are female producers out there, but when they have a hot beat 96% of the time it gets stolen and credit isnt given.
