i was thinkin' bout this tonight when "emotional rollercoaster" came on the radio
this was a great song but as soon as the song came out, it seemed like her career was all but over for the most part
how come vivian ain't really get a fair shot?

- she can sing, pretty, and had a well written/produced song. so why she ain't never become a household name?

this song still holds up well too. shyt, i'd say it's a underrated classic :whew:

beautiful song but I dont know if it is the type of music that would have made traction when it came out

Because neo soul started dying around that time, anyway.

Heather Headley, Musiq Soulchild, Angie Stone, India Arie...all got washed up from the death of Neo Soul. if you weren't already a legend like Maxwell or Erykah Badu it was really tough for you to keep going and still have label support.

naw, it should have. you gotta remember, when that song came out the neo soul wave was still alive and kickin'

artists like jill scott (who vivian use to sing backup for), floetry, musiq, badu, india arie etc etc were all doin' their thing

it just seem like vivian got lost in the shuffle and never really found her feet on solid ground
