Bank Robberies only have a 60% clearance rate, and this is today.

Biggest difference is all the street cameras. You use a stolen whip and map out your escape route you don't have to worry about that.
Facial recognition software is easy to beat.
The bank is insured so its in their best interest to comply with whatever you tell them to do. You can literally walk into a bank, hand the teller a note saying "Don't set off the alarm, gimme all the cash in your drawer, don't call the cops until 5 minutes after i leave" and they HAVE TO follow that note to exactly. For insurance purposes. Cuz if they don't follow the note and theres a big ass shoot out or whatever insurance company won't payout.
Plenty of dudes still out here still robbing banks on the daily. Risk outweights reward though. You run up in the place get 10-20 racks out the drawers. But you're facing like 10+ years federal time. Theres much sweeter liqs than that out here in 2015.

If you're intelligent and not in a position of desperation, you can rob a bank with not an extreme amount of difficulty. Folks that are driven to crime are usually not right in the mind though, so they slip up and give themselves away.

You don't need a gun or to even look/be intimidating to rob a bank. All you need to do is hand them a note saying you have a gun, stfu and they should give you all the money. And the teller has to do it. So that right there gives you time before any authorities are alerted. From there it's just a matter of getting away in time.
I guess if you time it right and there aren't any officers nearby and it's in an area with clear getaway routes you could get away.

It takes some balls, whether youre hungry or not, it'll take some balls. But with a mask, gloves and a proper escape route into the nearest woods where your other car waiting it's possible. And keep it to yourself, most cats cant keep their mouths shut when they get back to the hood.

Idk about banks but stores out here get robbed constantly and I never hear about anyone getting caught
