Ehh Beats

Yet this guy is wildly successful to the point he controls his tours and does what he wants artistically

I honestly believe at a certain point rap started giving out participation awards. Since so few people want to be bothered with trying to rap that the people that make an attempt to get credited like their doing something special

Holy shyt what a humongous bad take.

I'm not even a Cole fan but please stop pretending like he doesn't rap circles around most nikkas with ease when he actually wants to.

And the way he commands his fan base is something to learn from, not hate on. He probably has one of the most dedicated fan bases for an a list rapper outside of maybe ye

Cole made his own way.

He is from Fayetteville. Not necessarily a known entity in hip-hop like Compton, LA, NYC, New Orleans, Atlanta, etc. That in itself is an interesting backstory.

He had Jay, but we all know how  backs his artists not named Bleek or Rhianna. You kinda have to make your own way like Kanye did it. Cole did it too. :ehh:

J has been consistent if anything. His diehards can speak more to the quality of his catalog though.

You can't but help respect his grind. :yeshrug:

People hate on Cole because he doesn't ride trends and has the old-school mentality of organically building up his fanbase by GOOD MUSIC and excess touring. Plus he has the "everyday man" image that most people in flossy rap run away from. You will never see him on some Worldstar moment getting exposed as a fraud, or have his jewelry getting robbed,
