It went well with his campaign speeches, I should think. Plus it was more about his image than anything else.

Now for actual pacifistic measures he's taken... :patrice:

Convinced cac America to vote for him to be President when he's Black and his middle name is Hussein.

He should get another one for winning without a majority of white America's vote. Only 38% of Whites voted for him. Had the GOP shook like I thought we were going to win.

That's because it was the nobel prize of Literature. The fukk was he supposed to do except write?

Now the Nobel Peace Prize is a different thing.

Breh tupac ain't win no nobel prize in literature for Troublesome 96, and that songs better than anything that cac wrote :comeon:

A quick wiki lookup will tell you why he won:

The 2009 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to U.S. President Barack Obama for his "extraordinary efforts" to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.[1] The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced the award on October 9, 2009, citing Obama's promotion of nuclear nonproliferation[2] and a "new climate" in international relations fostered by Obama, especially in reaching out to the Muslim world.[3][4]

Jimmy Carter won the same thing in 2002

In 2002, President Carter received the Nobel Peace Prize for his work "to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development" through The Carter Center.

Bet you ain't have a problem with that cac winning though :comeon:

There's no nobel prize in music :snoop: How was he supposed to win a nobel prize in literature? Tupac didn't write any books as far as I know.

Jimmy Carter was president during the cold war and got himself all mixed up with war in Afghanistan. He doesn't deserve a peace prize either :rudy:

Carter actually accomplished shyt. Besides the peace prize this, that CAC gave G Dubya the business while he was sitting front and center at Coretta's funeral for using illegal wiretaps. All Dubya could do was sit and take it while everyone gave them a standing O. He isn't the ordinary southern CAC.

Obama got the award for shyt he said he was going to do. Point blank.

IIRC, they justified it based on his perceived aspirations, not on what he had actually done yet. And it wasn't that uncommon, a couple of presidents have won it before, Vice-President Al Gore won it when he was out of office. Also, to his credit, Obama was about as humble as he possibly could have been about the award, straight up said that he felt he didn't deserve it....:manny:

It seems fukking crazy now...but it really emphasizes just how much his election meant in 09. It seems like soooo long ago, but when Obama took office....that shyt felt like the beginning of a new era for many.

I'm not to proud to admit that I was personally touched. I remember when they called VIRGINIA for him, I was like "That used to be the confederate capital during the civil war"....:to:

It's actually kind of sad. I've been just as critical of Obama as anyone, but a part of me will always support him because I've seen so much racism directed at him. The republicans have spared no tactic in trying to destroy this mans legacy.
