I know what fields id want to pursue, I'm just having trouble deciding which one in particular. I'm a senior and I know it's definitely time to start cracking down and putting research in for grad school, especially when I want to attend an HBCU.

How did you decide, if you initially didn't know what you wanted to do.

If you're wondering, I'm in an undergraduate pre-law program, minoring in African studies, but I don't know if I should go to law school since my interest in that field is dying

Never went to grad school myself (though I considered it) but my suggestion would be to center it around what you plan on doing afterwards.

Or in other words think about what you want to do/where you want to work once you're done with school and study something that'll be conducive to it.

Pre-law is not a great undegraduate major, even if you wanna do law. I've heard from numerous people that law schools are more interested in you if you have a different background so that they can teach you the law themselves, I don't see what else you can do apart from go to law school to be honest. I hate to say it, but unless you do end up attending law school more than likely you'll have wasted 4 years.

At some point the bills gotta get paid though... :manny:

That said I really, really, really hate having to be at work at 8am five days a week. Sometimes I wonder if I can really do it for another 30 years...

The biggest factor was application of the teachings from Grad school into my current and future career aspirations. Looking at the direction of the world economy and the outlook for demand in my field led me to choose from a small set of schools

This is completely correct. Pre-Law isn't even a real major, and outside of a few select classes (Logic, American History) there is absolutely nothing else you can do.
What's your actual Major?
