Sacramento Kings because I was born/raised in Sacto mostly . Even during the Mitch Richmond/Wayman Tisdale/Lionel Simmons days when the team was bad, them boys played hard. When they became real good during the Webber/Divac/Bibby days , it felt sweeter being a longtime fan before of your squad and for them to finally take off. I was a Spurs fan for years also during the 90s because I was a huge David Robinson fan growing up. Not so much now.
San Jose Sharks because they are Nor-Cal's hockey team. I was a LA Kings fan before the NHL gave SJ an expansion team in '91 but I was also an Avalanche fan in the 90s because Joe Sakic was my favorite hockey player.
49ers fan because I grew up during the 80s and I loved how they played the game with that West Coast offense
My pops and everyone on my dad's side of the fam were Raider fans and my mom was a Cowboys/Saints fan. So I had to toot my own horn.
Oakland A's because they were the first pro sports team I became a fan of in ANY SPORT. That run they had in the late 80s-early 90s was magical. Their fanbase at that time with the bash brothers , Henderson/Dave Stewart, Eck was legendary at that time too. Bigger than the Yankees during the 90s .
Penn State Football (let me finish
) since the 1987 Fiesta Bowl vs The U "Fatigue Game" I love their plain color scheme mostly because I'm an Air Force Brat and the Navy blue/white reminded me of those military colors. That '94 team got robbed of a national championship more than my Kings in 2002 but its w/e
I also like LSU because I was on my way to transfer there after touring the campus ten years ago while I was in the South seeing relatives. Then Katrina happened

Plus, I used to work right down the street from the Academy and had a few conferences/workshops there, so I still have love for 'em.
