We have staggering income inequality in this country. There's massive corruption and manipulation in the financial markets, real estate markets...basically everywhere.
There are tax loopholes for people and companies here and overseas exacerbate this problem. There are systemic racial elements that make sure certain groups of people have access to certain opportunities and wealth. And on, and on, and on....

So yeah, there are a lot of reasons to "hate" on "success".

Maybe try not to have this 10 year old kid's illusion that everyone with something luxurious just happened to work very hard and there are no tilts on the table.
