How would I apply at major companies like Freddie Mac, Capital One etc

for certain positions that arent necessarily available to apply for on their website?

Like, I'm looking to apply for a certain position, but I dont see it listed as open on their websites,

but I know that if I were to talk to the right person, I would be able to apply for that position.

Because from what I understand, this position is a position that is always in demand,

so just because you dont see it listed as open on their website doesn't mean its not available.

So how would I do that?

I've been told that I can contact "recruiters"

I'm new to this shyt so let me know.:tu:

Referrals have a 70% more chance in helping you apply to major companies that probably deal with many competition. So networking with people in the field and company works.

But at the same time if you are a coder with a specific skill they need then it might be simply just easier off that alone.

LinkedIn is a god send. I’ve gotten a few job opportunities in the last month.

Recruiter’s post jobs all the time on their pages.

I'm not too familiar with linkedin so how would I go about searching for recruiters? what keywords would I use?

@D.C Young anorher tip. If you know of any temp to perm agencies that have these companies as clients you should contact them so they can hold your resume. They get paid to find workers so once you get temp in what you do (if it’s available) in one of the companies you like you would just have to bust your ass and get them to hire you.

I’ve been fortunate enough to build my resume through temp work and have a good track record and hope to be perm soon.

now temps are basically the same as staffing companies right?

I just became familiar with the concept of staffing companies recently
