How Do i Start An Embedded Youtube Clip at a certain point

When i do the normal t=?m?s it gives me a link without the embedded video. Please advise.

I'm working around this by converting the e.g. 2m40s timestamp to 160s and then just doing the t=160s . the seconds-only embed works

pause the youtube when your at the time you want to link to. then right click anywhere on the video and select copy video url at current time. then paste that directly in your post
