I use to work at Woodforest bank and chick use to come there with 8-10k tax check and within 3 months they done blew it and begging the bank to burrow money again.
Yeah their is a tax deduction for interest paid on Student loans during the year and two for College education expenses. Alot of lower income folks in college/with kids in college probably miss out on the college credits. Kind of a little finesse with those also you can claim college aid as income and the difference between the credit and your tax liability might fall in your favor
