I'm talkin about the folks who put in like 20 years at least into that shyt.

Same way most of America lives check to check. I've got 2 twins in the Navy and got both of them saving a few hundred a month just to put away. Preached almost every day to them about keeping an eye on their discharge date (assuming they don't re-enlist) and making sure that they've got a nice cushion when they get there

I got a question for the military brehs...if someone gets a Chapter 14 (or 15 I can't remember which one) and he gets escorted off the base by MPs, can that dude ever get benefits or pension or whatever it is that Army cats get when they leave?

it's all relative bro. you don't gotta pay for food/housing/health care. all those things you pay for when not in the military. so at the end of the day who's really making more? plus you get to save/free school/ low inerest and mortgages on homes.

getting out after 4-6 years isn't retirement.
