I’m not talking about the IG models who pose half nekkid. I mean the people doing legit blogging. Are they paying for followers, or using advertising? There’s no way the hashtags are generating that many followers.
I cant speak on bloggers, but I got to about 18K in about a year from just liking and commenting on others people posts. The main thing is I was visible and I only made at least moderately interesting posts just 2 -3 times a week. I didn't use serious hashtags either. Hashtags just attract bots. This was from about 2012 to 2013. The algorithm has changed on how posts and comments are presented, plus there seems to be more of a focus on stories, but I still believe there's some value in what worked for me.

some people have the unfollowers appIt takes a lot of work, spamming your own account, following for following back, etc.
If you treat it like a job, you can get your account up a thousand or two a month pretty easily.
if you want your “ratio” to stay good then it’s harder, but what lots of people do is they batch follow a ton of people and have some funny ass memes or content and then batch unfollow people. Think, if I follow 2500 people in a day and 1200 follow back, and then I unfollow all 2500, and 600 unfollow me as well, I’m up 600 on the day.
I’ve sold a few Instagram accounts and helped people make money on there. It’s tougher these days but it’s still easy enough to do if you actually put the work in![]()

some people have the unfollowers app
almost immediately after someone unfollows me i unfollow them back![]()

they will eventually realise you unfollowed them and gradually remove your follows unless they genuinely require your serviceYou aren’t saying anything I didn’t say though.
not everyone has that app.
If I follow 2500 and 1200 follow me back and then 600 drop from those 1200 when I unfollow, I still have 600 that didn’t![]()

Instagram puts a limit on that and wont let u spam 2500 people in a day from what I understand
I just made up random numbers. I’m not in that business anymorethey will eventually realise you unfollowed them and gradually remove your follows unless they genuinely require your service
its just a sucka thing to do and i have little respect for people who do that
the only reason i unfollow people is if they posted something that annoyed me or if they unfollow me or were never following me to begin with
all I did was provide some strategies that have worked and principles that I’ve made money on
