I feel like it was a dope ass album.

Kinda got overshadowed by the shytty PR run where Rae and Ghost aborted it in the media. Obviously fans will be inclined to shyt on it if theyre doing it.

The live sound was definitely different but shyt like Campfire, Wolves, Windmill, Unpredictable is an update on the classic Wu sound.

U-God also stepped his shyt up big time on here and had the best verse a few times

This was one of my favorites

as a wu tang fan…the album felt more like unreleased tracks than a cohesive album which they are known for crafting, and its largely forgettable because of it

Pretty good album.

Looking at the track list now, there's a lot of songs I don't even remember lol ... But "Heart Gently Weeps" and the intro are classic.

It's underrated in a lot of ways.

Musically it's very interesting in how RZA combines the classic Wu sound with his more soundtrack, film score aesthetic.

But it's not really the album people wanted from the Wu after a six year hiatus. It's has a little bit too much atmosphere and not enough bangers. I think the production would've served RZA better as a solo album. Maybe even for The Cure.

On top of that a lot of the Wu were phoning their verses in (maybe even literally). Meth and U-God were sharp but the rest of them weren't really up to it. Ghost didn't even turn up for the ODB tribute :beli:

But despite all that I think it's a solid release.

Campfire is the reason why RZA is the GOAT. No one else would make a beat like that. It's truly unique and other worldly.

I still prefer Ghost's solo version of "Heart Gently Weeps" called "Black Cream"

It wasn't very memorable at all in my opinion. I liked 3 songs off of it...but honestly I haven't listened to it since it came out (6 years ago...wow time flies).
