How do we feel about people who making personal annoucements on FaceBook?

i just always felt like i'd be kinda corny for putting out all my business on social media....engagements, weddings, etc are awesome to see but i just would feel weird if i posted:

we have a group from my graduating major class that keeps us all informed...i post when something opens up etc...

But, that's it.

Okay, as another poster said I love seeing people I know doing good, yea even on social networking it makes me feel good to be around people doing things.

You say you don't post stuff on FB, that's cool but you'd rather look at funny memes on FB than peoples good accomplishments? or rather look at some shared '20 things' links, or some random quote? I don't know, do you.

this is the reason i don't post anything because people take what you say as a negative...and in reality though if people are my friends for real they would know whats going on in my life through normal contact ...I already know 90% of my facebook friends list probably doesn't care about what is happening in my life to clutter their feed like that
