She never seems to come up when Female rappers get talked about.

But she had decent run, I never bought an album but her singles were always dope.

Missy on Timbo tracks would always deliver.

"Get Ur Freak on" and "Hot Boys" my favorite Missy joints but that sound is outdated nowadays,


You think Missy will have a spot in Hiphop History :dwillhuh:

I rate her as a pop artist more than anything. Never found her attractive, and honestly if she talked about dudes or sex it was kinda gross.

She has hits for days, also hers and Busta Rhymes videos were ahead of their time back in the day. She is a dope songwriter though... Aaliyah's One in a Million album was a result of Missy's songwriting and Timbo's production.

I wouldn't rate her highly among all time greats, but she does has her place in hip-hop history.

people always talk about lil kim.. but Missy was the original Nicki Minaj


the wigs, the crazy outfits, the funny faces, the weird voices, singing and rapping, crazy ass videos. missy was doing that in the 90s. of course kim came first and nicki bit her at first. but once nicki blew up, all that wild shyt was missy's style

Missy was dope as fukk when she first came out.

Her first two albums had a lot of good shyt on them. And her guest verses were nearly classic level back in like '96-'98. I count her as an MC, but she was always more than just that. She sings, and writes songs for other artists and all that. She never really just did one thing, and that's what made her dope. You throw Tim in the mix, and they both took music to a ridiculous level during their run. Music kinda needed them to do that. They took risks. She gets mad props for that.
