Asking for a friend bc ya'll already know i am in that tricked-out Civic. But I know someone that needs a car that will be going like 60 miles a day. How do you know if the car you are getting is a good one? Can you hire a mechanic to check it out first? Put me on brehs and do not ignore my goddamn thread.

I don't wish a used car on anyone unless it's for very short commutes. Had used cars break down on me 4 separate times. One was half way from a 60 mile commute home from a old job. Another was right by the same old job right after I got off work. Had to get a motel. I tell u, for ur peace of mind, ur better off getting a new lower end car. Toyota Yaris or corolla or equivalent Nissan car. Trust me.

First off get something that's known for reliability. Toyota's run foreverrrrrrr. Pay a mechanic to check all the wearable parts and the overall condition of the car. Get a Carfax report to see how it's been maintained throughout it's life. Try to buy from an old lady that barely drive the car. Used cars are a hit and miss.

Have a mechanic check it out first, if you're nervous, have a second mechanic check it out.

Try to avoid a car note at all costs, the appeal of a new car will wear off quickly once You're shelling out $500+ a month on it.

You get a mechanic to check it out, mostly any used car places will allow you to bring it to mechanic to check it out.

The old getting conned with a lemon is so 90s

All you need to know is this..
Of you buy brand new off the lot once buy it and drive it off the lot the value will instantly decrease 5-10k

No buying brand new is not bad if...
You plan on keeping the car for either a very long period of time and driving it often to get your money's worth

OR driving it for a very short period of time you'll get a higher trade in value.

Buying used is idea if your on a budget.
The prices are lower, so your down payment isn't as high and your monthly payments will be lower.
Make sure your not getting a salvaged car, check the carfax...used car that have been driving by 1 owner are usually taken care of better then cars that had multiple owners.

Never buy a car that was previously owned by a girl if possible.
