How do you deal with Supervisors/Horrible Bosses?

I go back to my school job on Tues. And the principal says critical/negative comments to me from time to time. This week I was just walking down the hall and she said "You have to do better then you did last year?" I was like inside but said "Ok". Had no idea what she was talking about but she's like that with everybody. Unfortunately, last semester she was yelling at me about something I didn't even do. And I started to yell back at her. It caused a scene and she didn't pull that again. But it looks like she's going to start again this year. Last year, I just started to dip on her whenever I saw her. Using back hallways just to avoid her. That worked out well. What about you? You ever have to deal with horrible supervisors? Did you tell them off or cuss them out when they went too far? Or did you just ignore the criticism?

P.S. With her she's at her worse when the pressure is on her. Like her supervisor are down her neck. Or there are strangers in the building doing an evaluation. You know she's going to be on edge and take it out on everybody.

Did this once; shyt was 15 pages. Sent it to my boss' boss and HR (the most important part) as I was quitting. Got the bytch fired 2 weeks later and it was discovered she was embezzling from the company.

After Obama got elected...she became even more unbearable,,,,it was awful. Only reason I never quit is because A) I enjoyed the work (doing what I love, I work in the legal field) and even more importantly, the benefits are great and very needed since I have a family to take care of.



Another reason I was able to deal with her for 9 years is because my position was unique in that I had to leave the office every day to go to court....

and I wouldn't return until 2:30...my day ended at 4:00...so it was only an hour and a half of actually having to inhabit the same space as her...but I felt bad for some of my collegues who had to spend the entire work day with her.

One co-worker, an old school, pro-revolutionary Jamaican cat (he spoke and acted just like Laurence Fishburne's character in Higher Learning)

worked with her for 20 years AND hated her more than she hated minorites....he would troll her every damn day, but she would troll him right back.

He was a silent killer tho, spoke very little....and pretty much no one phucks with him....his whole office is ordained with black power posters, marcus garvey, malcolm X, etc, etc. My racist boss' office, which was a few feet away, was adourned with anti-obama photos, pro-tea party clippings....

she would come in every morning and spit Sean Hannity talking points, always within an earshot of a nearby minority.

I would just sit there and be like

One day she tried to berate me in front of co-workers....I drank some tea

and that's when I let her have it....it was August of 2011.....

Chased her out of my office....she never spoke like that to me again.

I usually just gave them the until they were done ranting about whatever, my work was never wrong but they just wanted to bytch and moan. I'd stay looking for different jobs when I was younger, so when I found one I'd just walk in and quit and that's be the end of it.

Just make sure they have no concrete evidence of you fukking up, don't put your hands on them or make offensive remarks, and if they try to check you, just tell them "I'm good at what I do, I do it well, and my track record shows that. Obviously you've got a problem with me, but thats ok Im not particularly fond of you either, but I'm professional enough to not let it impact my work."

They'll either bust a move with hr trying to get you fired(which, if your work is good, won't work and they'll look stupid, so they won't do that) or back off of you.

I went through that my first year out of school. I whooped ass on all my annual reviews from vendors, my work was stellar, my supervisor was an a$$hole and tried to check me but I'd always shoot it right back at him(I'm not one to get bytched out, I have a complex about that shyt, I'm not going to be anybody's punching bag) so he went to hr with a complaint and the first thing they asked was "how's his work and how does he get along with coworkers/clients"

Knock down those fronts and you'll be alright(if its a serious post college or heavy job) if you work at Burger King or Olive Garden or something you just got to suck that up, that shyt come with be territory.
