How do you discipline your kids?

Went to friend's house to hang out. Dude has a son in kindergarten. Dude will tell boy to do something and there's like a 50/50 chance he will do it straight off without trying to start getting all pouty and crying like a bytch. Last time, kid legit ran away from dude in the yard when it was time to go. Took like half an hour to get him in the car bc he was whining and shyt. Lil mufukka needs his ass whooped seriously. To me, i grew up like many blacks getting whoopings with switches and belts. These people are white and he has never hit his son. I will never have kids, but if i did and i was telling some lil fakkit to do some shyt and he was giving me lip, it would cause me to rage like no other. Coli brehs that have kids, can ya'll discipline them without beating they asses? And what should be done with this particular kid?

Hitting my children comes only as a last resort....I'm 6'3 with a deep ass voice and best believe they listen to everything I say....although Jr likes to test me though....but that is because he is exactly like me....

that's how it was in my family. i feel like doin this '3 2 1' and 'grounding' shyt is not effective bc it means you are just hoping that the kid will cave in. But universally, children will be afraid of the belt.
