How do you experience a new city?

May have to travel over the next year if I take a position.

Which means I'd be y myself in new cities and I've never lived anywhere but texas in the same type of area. SO when It comes to vacation to new citites and states, I rarely know what to do especially when I'm one deep.

THe obvious are gonna be like museums and stuff, but if I wanna get a taste of wht a city has to fully offer with no contacts there, how do I go about making quick new friends or finidng my own way with a fun filled week of exploration?\

I guess the main thing is I dont wanna just go somewhere and do the usual, go to the museum, hit a beach, or whatever. Im more so loooking at how to finesse in a new city so when I leave i've had a greta time, seen new exciting things with new expereinces and new contacts.

right but how? Im used to experiencing women in my city on the basis of I lead because I know where to go and have a good time. Women joining in takes little effort.

Are you saying just cod approach and attempt to tag along? is it relatively easy since i'll be a "foreign person"

Go to local spots to eat. Hit a strip club, strippers know all the cool shyt and where to get drugs, just dont get set up and robbed. Taxi drivers know local spots also.

Hit the mall.

Most towns have an events section online or in the paper.

Most chicks love to show the new dude around and will give up ass easy when they know you gonna leave in a couple days.

What I don't wanna do is get there and meet ppl for a night, I'd love to put myself in position to make real connections that I can keep. Where I'm from tlaking to someone at a bar might get you to hang around a bit but it's not like they will look out here. Is it different elsewhere?

Good advice guys. BUt arent most great events that are specific to the city not advertised? Like an event might be a concert but the spot may be a small lil hookah spot thats lit... Also I'm a bit worried about being around boring people and being too friendly and getting rocked one deep in a city where I'm by myself and have no idea of my way around.

i walk around it. that's the only way i ever really get a feel for an area. i like to wander in urban areas.
