How do you feel about Bill de Blasio's plan to provide health insurance for all NYC residents?

INCLUDING illegal immigrants? There are an estimated 300,000 illegal immigrants in NYC (possibly more), so I have to imagine the cost of this will be over 1 BILLION dollars for them alone, in addition to the cost of insuring citizens as well.

I think the healthcare plan is a good idea except for that it covers illegal immigrants. I'm okay with them being here but providing tax payer funded services like that is going too far in my opinion.

Yes, because they'll be in theory paying and covered the alternative is they're not covered and the state/hospital/taxpayers eat the cost.

Its not ideal, but its not a hill anyone should die on...
It helps reduces citizenship to simply a matter of paying taxes... the slope from there is clear.

That said, I still think its a step in the right direction.
