How do you feel about straight edge people?

I got a friend who just never got the taste for alcohol and just doesn't drink. He's cool when we go to hang out and everything, he just doesn't imbibe.

Question for both the ladies and gents: is that attractive or unattractive to you if someone doesn't drink? Do you think they are lame or do you respect their commitment to sobriety?

generally pretty corny if they are younger than 21. i have some straight edge friends that i have been boys with for 15+ years. one of them has never had a smoke, drink, or drug in his life and he just turned 30.

Same here, apart from a couple of sips slid to me by my uncle when I was younger. 22 now, just doesn't appeal to me.

To me straight edge isn't the guy who just never wanted to drink.

Straight edge is the guy who doesn't drink and wants to rub it in people's faces. Or make lame arguments about how superior they are for not drinking / using drugs.

People who don't drink aren't looking for a label to put on themselves. People who call themselves straight edge are clowns.
