Like for my job interviews in Houston i just drive out for a couple days or so. 4 hour drive from baton rouge.

But if i wanted to apply in California or Florida, driving isn't a viable option and i be damn if i spend that much time flying back & forth

Anybody with experience handling this?

Well, if you don't want to drive and you don't want to take a plane, how else are you going to get there?

I just did an interview for a virtual job which would be based from my home mostly & would have to commute less than 15% of the time. The company has remote locations up the east coast, Texas, & Illinois where I could possibly travel to.

Yeah, I wondered about this...seeing that I'll be applying overseas for TEFL jobs sooner or later this year....

Well, I've had phone interviews as the first interview. Then, if they are serious, I go to the second interview in person. The travel expense was on me. I drove the day before, got a motel room, and then drove back after the interview. With that much money involved, I had to put my A game on during the interview.
So, I was kind of limited to what cities I could apply to. If it was driving distance in a day, then I would apply.

MAke sure they know you want to relocate and they will usually call. Schedule a phone interview and if it goes well you most likely will have to fly out. Your dime.
