typically, it's difficult. my girlfriend's a lawyer and if you've had a good amount of run ins with law enforcement in your life, you might have warrants out on you that you're not even aware of. for instance, most of the clients worked with have spent a decent amount of time in prison. however, now that they're out and got their lives back on track, you'd think most if not all the warrants have expired or been handled. wrong. one of her clients almost was robbed one time and shot at in front of his place of business. he called the police to report the incident. instead of the police treating him like a concerned citizen, they ran a background check on him and found out he had an 8 year old warrant for tinted windows and they arrested him over it. fortunately she was able to get him released before the day was over but my point was sometimes you never know until you actually come in contact with police. AND, on top of that, if you do have a warrant, it's possible the police will fukk you over even if it's old, expired, was incorrectly entered into the system. they fukk up all the time and pursue the wrong individuals often because they don't care. they pursued her client because he had a past, not because of anything he did at that moment.
