Do you just listen from start to finish? One track at a time and then rapgenius?

(1) I have to hear at least 2 songs/snippets from it that I like...if so,
(2) I buy it
(3) I put it in and listen to the opening/the beat first. If the beat/opening makes an impression,
I keep listening to the song to see where it goes. If it doesn't keep my attention, I skip to the next song.
I do this all the way through (usually in my car).
(4) I read who did the beats afterwards. If I recognize the producer, I see if the beat matches the
style I know they do.
(5) for the songs that didn't keep my attention on the first listen, I go back to them and try to listen to them
in their entirety to see if it got better as it went on.

Start to finish.
This

I'll pretty much never skip a song the first time listening to an album, it has to be the complete opposite of the type of shyt I like. & even then, I'll skip ahead within that song to see if it gets better.
They'll usually be a couple I like right of the bat, so i'll play those back
Relisten to the album a few days later. I try to listen to it with different headphones/speaker system so I'll get a different experience. The bump test in a car (does that shyt bump? :youngsabo:) is always a good one. Theres always songs I don't really care for until I hear it in a car. Unfortunately I don't have a car, so this test is rare.
Within the first couple times listening I try to just completely focus on the music & not do shyt (no tv, internet browsing, videogames, etc)

Eventually I always start to really fukk with songs I didn't like the first few listens
I do this with all the music I downloads

What about the lyrics? Don't you try to understand them?
