How do you stay fresh when growing out your hair?

Ive been growing out my hair since september and my hair is longer than its ever. Ive always rocked a plain taper fade, with a connected chinstrap.

But lately ive been letting my facial hair grow too. Ya boy out here feeling like im homeless. Beard about an inch all over too.

How do you stay fresh when growin out your hair? My hair is all uneven growth. Do I just get a barber to even it out up top for the split ends and get the back and sides tapered? Same with the facial hair, just have him even it out from the hairs that are too long?

I honestly want a taper fade on the sides, with some curls on the top going into a full beard

This is basically the haircut I was rocking for a minute. I went to the barber about every 3 weeks to get everything lined up. Fade the sides out and line the beard up.

Just keep your lineup crispy and at the most, a minor shapeup. How is this an actual question? nikka could have the nappiest uneven ass hair but if the lineup is crisp, its CLEARLY how you want it to look and all someone will say is "I don't get that hairstyle." and keep it moving. Let your line go and those same people will think you a nappy ass bum.

Get a edge. Also taper the beard, or line it up also. Rock fitted or snapbacks if hair a mess. It's what I did .

Keep everything lined up. I got a little fro with a taper fade now. I just get shape ups in between the fades. I don't have beard so can't help there.
