How do you think Bernie would’ve done against Trump?

I was BOB (no longer am) during the primaries, and mad he didn’t get the turnout I assumed he would.

During Trumps impeachment I was confused as to why Trump was going so hard to get dirt on Biden (I thought Bernie was the bigger threat)

Then Biden ending up cleaning up after Super Tuesday , and his polling against Trump as of right now (10-18-20) is



How would Bernie have done in Biden’s spot?

I think Bernie's messaging would be better with regard to the Pandemic.

I'm not sure how well he would have done during the protests.

Potentially more fatigue in general. Biden's presidential campaign is pretty much just set it and forget it after they set the bar so low by calling him a walking dementia patient.

depends on if bernie united the party.... biden doesn't get enough credit for immediately moving to unite all factions... setting up the commission with bernie and adopting some progressive issues into the platform helped biden tremendously.... if bernie won and took his win as a mandate and decided it wasn't worth reaching out to the moderate wing of the party, hmm....

im just gonna compare to how biden is doing at this stage of the campaign

a lot depends on who he would pick as vice president for similar reasons as biden.

i think he would still be leading the polls but by a smaller margin. some states biden could compete in like texas wouldn't be competitive. so maybe some down-ballot races would be looking less competitive too

i think he would have had a great first debate performance.

trumps and the GOPs "radical leftist socialist" rhetoric would have some impact on independents as opposed to with biden where it seems like none. but i think the pandemic would still be much more important.

one thing i think would be interesting is he would be the first jewish candidate. the trump campaign would probably be putting out all kinds of slick anti-semitic shyt and QANON would be even more openly anti-semitic

He would have had a tougher job of uniting than biden did

Concessions made by Bernie would be painted as him selling out. Concessions made by biden were painted as being conciliatory and agreeable.

It would take a term of someone like Bernie in office for people to realize the positives. Based of that it would be a closer race. Pre pandemic I thought Biden was the worst candidate of the one's who could win the primary. But Trump fukked up the Covid response so much he became the safest choice to take back all 3 branches.

i think post pandemic anybody can beat trump and probably bernies platform would be hitting much better, the commie stuff would hit more and i also think like half the dems would be pro trump so that would hurt. pre pandemic i thought trump was prob gonna win again but i thought bernie had the only chance to maybe beat him, now i think anyone could beat trump. im more upset i think were gonna waste a mandate by having biden in there.

also i dont think biden "united the party" those unity commissions led to shyt, people just gonna still vote biden that are progressive cause trump is so bad, especially post pandemic and protests etc trump is getting worse by the day but i dont think anyone has allusions that biden did anything

Bernie would’ve killed him in the debates. But the DNC would’ve sabotaged him. Keep in mind they would’ve dragged out the primaries and threw dirt on his name. AOC would’ve been in the spotlight more. shyt would’ve gotten ugly. He would’ve had battle scars from his own party by the time he got to face trump.
