I'm curious what everyone thinks.
Hypothetically, the year is 2050. How do you think historians will write about black america from 1970s - 2020.
Here's a few snapshots on issues.
1. Hip hop started in the early 80s in NY and later became a genre recognized around the world.
2. More blacks became the first in the family to graduate from college.
3. Blacks have been on the bad end of gentrification.
4. The crack epidemic and the crime bill as a result.
5. Black mens vs women war/debate/ideology.
If not these issues, what and how you do think historians will write about black america?
