Melody wise (vocally) this song is extremely "complicated". Its a song that you would have to hear numerous times before it would stick in your brain well enough to sing yourself.
Its like the opposite of a simple, repetitive, song melody wise like this:
I'm just using this simple and "easy to memorize" Fetty Wap song as an example of an elementary melody in comparison to the more advanced and complicated melody that Stevie the GOAT came up with.
I listen to this song often and it amazes me how somebody could come up with this. We take music for granted because we hear the finished product without realizing that this music came out of thin air. It has to be created first!!!! It has to be thought of.
And I haven't even mentioned the background music

The music is complicated and ever-changing also. You are NOT just gonna be able to hum this music to yourself like a generic Lil Jon or DJ Mustard beat. Hell no. Its complicated so it'll take a few listens before you can even remember the gist of what the music sounds like. After hearing it for the first time I guarantee that you won't remember how the melody of the vocals or the music goes. That's the mark of true musicianship, specifically R&B melody speaking. For example, most pop music is repetitive and easy to remember after 1 listen usually.
But yea, I listen to this song often and wonder how a human being could create this orchestra of sound and vocals out of thin air.
I guess thats why Stevie is the undisputed goat to me
