Bret's mic skills have always been underrated. He spoke well adn was always able to get his point across. Short and to the point. No babbling, no filler. Sure he couldn't captivate the crowd like The Rock or CM Punk, but not everybody can.
Just because a wrestler isn't witty and doesn't come up with all these clever/funny catchphrases doesn't mean he isn't good on the mic.

Bret I felt had more Heat on Shawn, because he didn't like how the business was going with him as champion. The heat with Stone Cold was more of a "You time is up." beef.
I never bought Bret on Shawns level anytime so I never felt the so called heat, in any of their back and fourths Shawn outshined him, in the ring and on the mic........

truth. i'd rather hear his face promo than these Martin Luther Cena screaming promos or when he panders to the crowd/rides other people's waves... Bret actually made me feel like he was the GOAT when he spoke and he didnt have to spit a bunch of tag lines like you said.
Bret needed Shawn, wtf? Bret and Austin was classic. Bret and Owen was solid too. He failed in WCW because WCW was a complete wreck, with no real direction anymore.
