How does Microsoft Losing the Console War effect Gamers? Can they win?

Microsoft is LOSING the war, everyone knows it. I actually believe Microsoft has already LOSS. there is no way they can regain the momentum desired in order to concour sony. Hold this L Microsoft.

since PS4 and XBONE launched, the XBONE was capable of getting maybe 2 months on top. Thats it, 2 months. Every other month crowned the PS4 as most consoles sold.

their 2nd place struggle is forcing microsoft to develop more 1st party games, add more features, and push updates out consistently. so their loss equates to a great win for xbox gamers.

now im not saying ayou should expect microsoft to win because of all the great updates and features and games theyll be releasing. why? Well because Sony is not just gonna sit on their ass, they will be pushing out updates, new features, and 1st party games. Just like Microsoft is.
Only Sony is doing it at a much slower pace because they arent in second place, so their not hungry like microsoft. Microsoft NEEDS to win when you think about it. The multiple price cuts, removing kinnect, and their free video game bundles they are loosing a ton of money with these promotions. This means they have to sell all the software and peripherals devices they can to boost profits.

With all the money microsoft is losing its kinda clear that if they dont come out number 1 nov/dec/jan (biggest gaming time of the year financially - holiday gaming) then its gonna pretty much be a nail in the coffin for the Xbox One. We will definately not get another xbox if this happens. Im sure microsoft will still continue to support the XBone and hopefully push their 1st party games, features, and updates even harder then they are now. It'll be great for gamers

Microsoft has the deepest pockets of the main 3 players in the gaming industry. If they didn't call it quits after the original Xbox flopped, they won't do it now, especially after experiencing success with the 360. They shot themselves in the foot at the beginning of this gen, obviously it's gonna be a while before they get back on their feet, doesn't happen overnight.

Microsoft wanted to take the gaming market in a direction that it wasn't ready for to sharply, it kinda did it with online gaming and I think they thought they could make that push again. Sadly it failed, but you average gamer only see's it as microsoft "being greedy" It's still going to go in that direction it'll just take another 4-8 years to do.

Microsoft has done more than any other company to date to gain customer faith back, no other console and history has done anything like this. If its goign to crash and burn they cut there loses and let it sink. Again gamers are looking at this like microsoft is trying to trick them into something.


Microsoft lost the 360 vs ps3 war badly early on too, the only bad thing about this go around is the internet trolls aka fanboy's influence. Every time I see someone complain about DRM and then talk about how much they love pc gaming and networking I have to shake my head a bit.


Right now tho, while this holiday sale is going people SHOULD not be buying ps4, it has nothing to do with ps4 vs xbox and everything to do with, making companies fight for your dollar. If this moves units for xbox, microsoft is going to try the keep the pressure on. Which in turn means sony has to do something, people don't see that. They see everything else about the industry but whats important.

difference is that Xbox is not where close to a core aspect of MS business. Everone of their divisions outside of the one that houses the Xbox brand makes a killing. Xbox is a drop in the bucket to MS and it's in the red. There is a real danger of them killing off Xbox than Sony or Nintendo getting out of the game.

Playstation is a central part of Sony and for Nintendo that is their shyt.
