Best way is to gain knowledge from an elder. Lower yourself and open up to their wisdom.

- Read about great people and try to incorporate their great qualities into your daily routine
- Build a personal value system
- Don't complain
- Be honest about yourself and your short comings and give real effort in trying to improve
- Calm down and learn to listen to your instincts and inner voice
- Take care of your body
- Tinker and learn how to do shyt yourself
- Don't cry in front of anyone, not even your own mother. It's looks weak and pathetic no matter what anyone says

This is just my personal view and these are the qualities I consider important for a man to have:
* Becoming independent
* Achieving/Pursuing success
* Being honest and able to handle respectful criticism
* Knowing what one wants and knowing yourself
* Being able to stand by your own beliefs no matter how they are accepted by society just as long as they are reasonable.
