How does one deactivate their rep?

Too many children here that aren't willing to engage in robust debate or will use ones rep to dismiss valid points. Sick of being negged for just stating an opinion that's not even provocative it's just not popular. So with that I want to deactivate my rep, how is it possible

Rep means nothing here. It's not even worth getting upset about.

It's an avenue for petulant children to vent their anger at not being able to articulate a point clearly. A lot of ppl that use it also use inflammatory remarks in the msg space. When you are in the red you are basically handcuffed and can't reply it's irritating

You can go to Alert Preferences and disable rep alerts so that you won't even have to get notified of any reps that you get.

But there's no way to "disable" rep altogether.

thats out of date and no longer an option. rep can not be disabled
