How Does this Site Define the Generations?

As far as what generation you belong to, and the years that make up said generation. I've seen previous generation discussions take place, and it seems like most here use the 1980-2000 or so timeframe for the millenials

Of course this isnt set in stone, however this just doesnt sound right. There are many definitions out there, and this one sounded the best to me:

Silent Generation: 1925-1945
Baby Boomers: 1946-1964
Generation X (the nameless generation): 1965-1977
Generation Y (or Echo Boomers, Millenials) 1978-1989
Generation Z: 1990-1999 (or thereabouts)

This makes the most sense to me. Gotta say that the Gen Y was the last great generation imo, as we are the babies of the Baby Boomers, and came of age during the new millenium. Feel bad for those born after '89...
