Tldr

Drake lost because he barely went at Kendrick’s hypocrisy. He suggests Kenny talks righteous but does stuff like puts Kodak on his MMTBS, never followed through with Let the Party Die (had Carti features), respectability politics, acts like he’s above fame, but he’s a pop star too and plays the I'm not perfect, I'm a hypocrite card to his advantage.

Suggests Joey, Lupe, JID, and Cole could beat the boogeyman.

Not a fan of Lil bill but found this to be potentially interesting dialogue

Kendrick knew he had it won either way because even if Drake resisted every urge in his body to go the personal route we all know Drake uses writers, is shallow and surface level as an artist, with very low actual cultural cache. Drake was NEVER going to out-rap Kendrick. He was NEVER going out-write Kendrick. And he didn’t have enough juice in the culture to get anyone of note to turn on Kendrick. Thats why NOBODY except Yachty stood by Drake during the thick of his ass-whopping, they all waited until the worst of it died down to say anything supportive about him.

There was no way Drake could beat Kendrick. Kendrick came from a two parent home and graduated high school and has a University degree in Psychology. Drake was facing no dumb nikka like Meek this time.

Drake is just an easy target all the dirt on him is known publicly, Kendrick chose wisely he knew he was going up against a very weak opponent.

It's the main reason why Kendrick kept hush mouth when Joel Ortiz ,Joe Budden, Jay electronica and Joey badass have been ripping him from limb from limb.

Should've ignored Kendrick and continued making catchy raps and songs. Maybe sub him and when asked about it say nah it's not about Dot.

"There's no big 3 is just big me." That should've been the end of that right there.


Also I would've liked for him to put more effort into his own artists so when a time came when he wasn't received well by rap fans and the masses for whatever reason his artists under him already have their own wave going. Every artist run comes to a end someday as people taste change and mature.

I don't think Party albums be selling as much as they should same for all those OVO cats. The sweatshop jokes could've ended if he was behind his own artists more.
