How Easy Is It For You To Adopt New Lingo/Slang Into Your Vocabulary?

Are you a parrot and easily adopt new slang that becomes popular? Ie: babble, divestor , cap , etc


Or are you more selective in what new words you bring into your everyday talk?

I don't really add new slang to my vocabulary. I feel awkward doing it

I’m old and don’t hang with the homies as much anymore, so new slang is ineffective for me

Can’t be running around the house saying cap and divesting to the kids or my wife

I literally cringe everytime I see somebody use gaslighting

About half of my co-workers are on some form of social media all day and none of them use internet terms in our convos.

Not even “baddie.”

Im convinced that’s just some internet shyt.

if i say a "new" word like "cap" i'll say it jokingly but never incorporate new lingo...

im still 90's to the core with a hint of early 2000's

I try for the ones I like. Facts seemed like a good one. But I always miss the opportunity to say it. And then I realize I missed it and kick myself. I’m well aware facts is probably old as hell now
