  1. Birth control is a way for men and women to prevent pregnancy. There are many different methods of birth control, including hormonal contraception such as "the pill." Women take the pill by mouth to prevent pregnancy, and, when taken correctly, it is up to 99.9%effective.

98%. Only ways BC doesn't work is if the chick doesn't take her pill everyday or if they are taking another medication that offsets the BC

You have to take it around the same time everyday too.

I think being overweight makes it less effective as well.

What if she gained weight cuz of the BC? What if its like sometimes an hour or so late? :lupe:

I don't know. You might need to ask a professional about the first question.

An hour or so late, I think it depends on the type she's taking. Some kinds it doesn't matter as long as she takes it every day and for others it makes it less effective (I.e. Progestin only pills) .

But if she's consistently messing up on taking it, you should use another form of birth control.

I remember that thread about how birth control was deemed ineffective for overweight women. :mjlol:
