EDIT: Like a lot of these discussions the finger of blame is pointing in the wrong direction. Humans have to 'up their game'. But in a simulation where we elect people like 'rump I suppose we have to accept that improvements will not be forthcoming anytime soon.

Machine learning AI doesn't have ethics it's just doing what it's programmed to do.

I don't think that I mentioned ethics.
But now we are on the topic what do you mean by 'have'? Do you mean manifest?
Rather, it’s doing what it’s programmed to do under a within a specific set of conditions.
Remember the program that people claimed became a neo-Nazi or racist?
It had nothing to do with programmer bias, or any inherent prejudice coded into the program, it was human influence that created a condition for the program to “seem” racist.
