Hurts me to say it but a man with no team can't compare to Kobe. Say what you want about Kobe, but he has an identity and legacy with the Lakers. And he brought them 2 more rings, with Artest and Gasol.
Rings wise, KD can catch or surpass Kobe, but that's about it.
KD has a story, but it flat out sucks in comparison.

All said and done KD has the chance to surpass LeBron as soon as next year with another ring and fmvp (3 rings, 3 finals mvps with a great finals record in comparison) and Kobe with another ring after that. And don't let him win another MVP next year too.
