I can trace my family back to a couple of areas in the early 1800’s 1830 something on paper but we suspect if we had the money and time it would go back further. Luckily we had a family Bible that had most of the names of my great great great grand parents in it so then ancestry DNA filled in the rest.

Currituck county NC
Repton Alabama
Norfolk virginia
A shytty area called Boston Georgia.

Pop's side: LaGrange, GA late 1800s. I got a cousin who's a geneologist by profession and probably traced back further. I'm going off info she compiled (real academically might I add) of all the branches back in the 90s, so I'm sure there's more info now. l'll have to ask at the reunion this summer.

Mom's side: Technically Tatums, OK (one of the many free Black towns once there) early 20th century, but I found evidence last year confirming them on the trail of tears, coming out of Alabama. Which crazy enough, is where my Pop's side has been ever since.
